We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented WordPress Developer to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performing WordPress websites that align with brand standards, user experience best practices, and business objectives.

The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in WordPress development, front-end and back-end programming, performance optimization, and security best practices. This position requires collaboration with designers, marketers, and content teams to deliver responsive, conversion-focused digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch
Customize existing themes and plugins to meet project requirements
Convert design mockups (Figma, Adobe XD, etc.) into fully functional WordPress sites
Ensure websites are responsive, mobile-friendly, and cross-browser compatible
Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and performance
Implement technical SEO best practices
Manage site migrations, backups, and updates
Troubleshoot and resolve website issues in a timely manner
Maintain website security and implement best practices
Integrate third-party APIs and tools (CRM, marketing automation, analytics, etc.)
Collaborate with marketing and design teams to improve user experience and conversion rates
Document development processes and maintain organized code repositories

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience developing WordPress websites
Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
Experience building custom themes and plugins
Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Divi etc.)
Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
Understanding of MySQL databases
Knowledge of SEO principles and performance optimization
Experience with Git/version control
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Excellent attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with WooCommerce
Familiarity with headless WordPress
Knowledge of React or modern JavaScript frameworks
Experience working in an agency environment
Understanding of ADA compliance and accessibility standards

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
